Day 32 - Long Island

Another early start today! Off to Abel Point Marina again to catch our boat over to Long Island for the day.
It was great! We got to use all the facilities of the resort as well as walking around this beautiful natural island.

Again, some beautiful views from the ferry over. Still reminds me of LOST!

Once our ferry arrived we thought we'd do a walking track. At 3.5km's, we'd done longer before, but neither of us had taken the initiative to bring proper shoes... So, it looked like we were going to do this 3.5km walk in flip flops.
As it was completely natural, there were no boardwalks or anything, and no lookouts, but there were some points in the walk we got to see the lovely view through gaps in the trees.

Once we had finished the walk we thought we'd take advantage of the Long Island facilities. First up, mini golf! It had been years since I'd last played.

Joe won because there was this 1 course I just could NOT do. We're talking +16 par or something.

Next, we decided to go for some tennis, which I was better at. I'd forgotten how much I loved tennis!

And that rounded off the day nicely. At 3:30pm the ferry took us back to the mainland on Airlie Beach.
Can't wait for tomorrow, snorkeling on the Outer Great Barrier Reef!
