Day 26 - Australia Zoo

Jam packed day today! We got up early and went to Australia Zoo. The weather was lovely so it made for an awesome day out!
The first show of the day was the elephant feeding at the new 'South East Asia' part of the zoo. It was free and we got to go round plenty of times! Apparently elephant slobber is good for your skin... hmm...

Then we walked around for a bit before the next show and saw loads of awesome animals! Some I'd never even knew existed, obviously because they are exclusive to Australia. Check out this guy!

Then some cute (but harmful) Tasmanian Devils!

Then my favourite part of the day, the Kangaroo Feeding! It was completely unsupervised! Just a park full of kangaroos, you could buy feed from a $2 vending machine and feed them as long as you followed the golden rules. No patting the joey's (baby kangaroos in the mothers pouch). Why? A little girl nearly found out. They WILL punch you in the face! No chasing kangaroos, no holding food away from kangaroos to tease them. Simples! Look at this adorable little guy!

Then the reptile room... My Mum keeps telling me to beware of snakes. Don't worry Mum, it's behind glass!

We couldn't get amazing pictures of the Koala's but they were SO cute and SO soft! Even though they sleep all day... A bit like me.

Finally we ended the day with a Tiger show. They were beauuuutiful and I want a pet tiger to go with my pet kangaroo! I have a few videos which I'll put up over the next few days.

We're moving on to Noosa tomorrow!
