Day 23 - South Bank, Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and The ManaBar Day 2

Today we went to South Bank, which is, coincidental or not, similar to London's Southbank! I've got to say though, Brisbane do it better.

We started off in the Gallery of Modern Art, also known as GOMA. They had some beautiful work there, but I have to say my favourite would be between the Infinity Room and the Balloon Room.

The Infinity Room used mirrors and water to reflect glowing balls, giving the illusion of 'infinity'.

Next was the Balloon Room, which was exactly that. A room full of shiny purple balloons!

After we got our inner 12 year olds out again, we took a walk down the South Bank. There are no beaches in Brisbane, as it's a city. But what do you do when you don't have beaches? Make one. Obviously.

That's right folks! This is a man made beach.
Next, we walked through the South Bank market where I bought my first piece of art! Just a few little pictures to put in my room at university, so I can remember my travels!

Finally, we went to ManaBar again tonight. It wasn't as busy because it was a Sunday, but that was alright, it was still great fun.

Brisbane is possibly my favourite place so far, it'll be such a shame to leave tomorrow!
