Day 9 - Coffs Harbour

Before today's blog post, here are the pictures and videos from Port Macquarie:

The Kooloonbung Creek:

The Koala Hospital:

We got our first bit of bad weather today, only in the morning though.
It rained until midday, so we got something to eat and chilled at the hostel for a little bit.
Then, as we didn't want to waste the day, we decided to go canoeing, as the hostel provides them for free.
After carrying this canoe across a 4 lane road, we got to the dock and got into the canoe.
It was a really peaceful row, there were birds all over the place and we rowed through the Royal Botanic gardens.
Unfortunately, it started to rain a little bit. While it was only a tiny bit, we thought we'd still go back just in case it got worse.
And that's exactly what happened. It got worse.
It rained and rained and rained and rained.
And we rowed and rowed and rowed and rowed.

We made it safely back, of course, but we were absolutely drenched and on top of that we had to carry the canoe back to the hostel as well.
Definitely something I don't think I'll be forgetting for a while.

Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow, and we'll use the free body boards and hit up the beach!
